Our Story

Pete Kimener
After witnessing several trailer accidents over the last 3 decades, Pete Kimener, material handling business owner and inventor, realized there was a major product gap in the industry’s current product offerings. Accident prevention while loading and unloading semi-trailers is one of many safety exposures industrial manufacturing and distribution companies must account for in their safety policies, procedures, capital equipment purchases and financial risk management. Pete knew that customers deserved and desired more in this area. After inventing and patenting other industrial products, he set off on the mission to make the space in front of the trailer safer for employees on the ground, fork lift drivers and products being shipped. Pete took on this effort with his brother Tom. And so StabilJack began.

Tom Kimener
Coming from a long line of those who like to over-engineer and test mother nature, Tom Kimener engineers, continuously innovates and improves the StabilJack model lineup. He has pulled from his vast material handling product and mechanical knowledge (flat-bottom boat racing, cars, motorcycles – oh my!) and to bring the heaviest duty and yet easiest to maneuver trailer stabilization system to customers. He realizes the importance of ergonomic and easy-to-use products for those performing manual jobs throughout the day. Much to our customers delight, Tom has automated the dual jacks in the M-2 and MT-2 models as well as decreased the weight of all units. Tinkering continues in the StabilJack shop as Tom engineers the next model lineup.
